THE DOYONS OF AMERICA ASSOCIATION
The Doyons of America Association is a non-profit organization that was incorporated on August 19, 1992.
The Association had its first major gathering at Saint-Joseph de Beauce in July 1992, to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the arrival of the first Doyon in Beauce, Jean-Baptiste Doyon and his family, on June 17, 1742. A commemorative plaque was erected and a memorial book entitled Un Bel Héritage (A Beautiful Legacy) was also published.
The second major Doyons Gathering was held in Château-Richer in August 1994, to mark the 350th anniversary of our ancestor in that town. A commemorative plaque was also unveiled to pay tribute to Jean Doyon, the sole ancestor of all of the Doyons of America.
The Association has its coat of arms and is affiliated with the Quebec Families Associations Federation (FAFQ).
